According to the ancient Mayan calendar, the end of the year will be coming on December 21st, 2012.  I began thinking about it and I realized I’m pretty unprepared.  Now, I want to survive the Apocalypse just as much as the next person…but if you’re like me, don’t want to pay full price for survival supplies just in case the ancient calendar is (gasp) wrong.  So, I present to you my discounted “apocalypse shopping list” with the help of Spreadsave.com:

Running shoes:  The end of the world is coming, so what will you be wearing?  I’m not sure what I might find myself running from, but I think I should be equipped with proper footwear so I can sprint to my full ability (which is not very fast).  Good thing there’s an exclusive link for $15 off $100 or more for Sports Authority if you take my advice and want to grab yourself a great pair of athletic sneakers as well.

Right now Sears is offering some great sales on Black Friday ticket items, like this 47” LED HGTV for only $699.99!  Deals like these make me wonder what I would do if it weren’t for the internet…I can only laugh at the thought of trying to physically obtain this item in a herd of crazed shoppers on Black Friday!

Lowe’s is also offering some great deals, and you can get free shipping on your orders of $45 or more.  I don’t know about you but I always have a hard time shopping for the guys in my family.  So this year they’re all getting power tools…I heard they like that kind of stuff.

In true hipster fashion (literally), Urban Outfitters is offering some great merchandise so you can shop Black Friday before it becomes too mainstream.  Items start at only $5 and you can get some really great stuff like moustache bandages, so you can observe “Movember” without having to deal with the hassle of growing out your facial hair!
